Big, Big Week

So...here we are again.  Another Friday--the end of another great week (or in this case, two weeks).

First of all, some really exciting news.  Drake Jensen's debut single, Wash Me Away, was reviewed by Bob Oermann in this week's Music Row Magazine.  This is huge!  Among the singles he reviewed were the latest from artists including Kellie Pickler, Gene Watson & Rhonda Vincent and Lady Antebellum.  Wash Me Away was given the "DisCovery Award" and the review stated that the single is "very dramatic.  Unmistakably country, but with a certain sonic majesty and terrific, multi-layered production finesse.  Not only is the song finely crafted, he sings with open-throated confidence and clear conviction.  A winner."  It's really great to be a part of the Drake Jensen team, and Kim Copeland (Drake's producer) is fantastic.

I caught Glasgow's Raintown as they opened the International Showcase during the CMA FanFest in Nashville on Monday night.  Being the first act on is always tough, but Paul and Claire really blew the crowd at The Stage away.  They did a great job representing the UK and setting up the night for Australian artists Tommy Emmanuel, Diana Corcoran and McAlister Kemp; Kaylee Bell from New Zeland; and the Canadian contingent of Dean Brody, Chad Brownlee and Marlee Scott.

Friends Of Jack luanched their debut single Cool Me Down to the world on Monday and international radio is loving it!  Their album releases later this month, produced by Bob Bullock.

Dawson Reigns has had a big couple of weeks--first announcing his Gibson Guitars sponsorship, then the announcement of his signing to 615 Management in Nashville and then his sponsorship signing with Forty Creek Whisky.  Congrats Dawson!

In Nashville, I had the pleasure of spending some time with producer Kim Copeland, songwriter Susan Tucker; singers Drake Jensen, Jessica Ridley, Raintown, Derryl Perry, up-and-coming Annelise, and Rachel Williams, as well as young John-Robert Rimel.  Lots of talented people!  It was a long week of meetings , but it'll all pay off in the future.  Lots to tell you about, so keep an eye on this page for the latest news.

Finally, please support all of the artists i mention on this page buy buying their cd's, legally downloading their music and requesting them on your favorite radio stations, and seeing them when they play live. None of us can do what what we do without you, so thanks for your support!
